WPUNJ Commencement 2023

 Had a blast at the WPUNJ commencement ceremony in the Prudential Center, Newark, last week.

Many thanks to Owen Stahl (to my right) for inviting me, and for the great honor of recognizing me as an inspirational professor.

Owen was inducted into the student athletes' honor society and recognized for his high GPA.

Every year the English Department at William Paterson University holds an awards ceremony to honor the recipients of prizes in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. We also induct the newest members of our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society, and we award the Helen and Philip Manno Prize to the student with the highest GPA in the English major. This year (2020), because of Covid-19 restrictions, we cannot hold that ceremony physically. Hopefully this video will go some way in making up for the physical absence of an event.
